A brief intervention on AUD had the strongest association with receiving AUD treatment in our cohort. Further efforts to incorporate brief interventions when offering AUD treatment to patients with ALD may be beneficial.

While there is interest in exploring the use of GLP-1 agonists in the treatment of SUD, evidence for safety and efficacy of GLP-1 agonists in humans is limited. The results of this scoping review are mixed, and the authors call for further research to determine the efficacy of GLP-1 agonists in treating SUD.

This one-hour, on-demand, journal article-based activity presents original research on models that support successful transitions to long-term medical and substance use disorder (SUD) care for hospitalized patients with SUD. Using an expert consensus approach, existing SUD care transition models were evaluated for effectiveness and implementation with an analysis of factors associated with the greatest potential to enhance posthospitalization care transitions. According to the expert panelists, the 
models considered to have the greatest potential to enhance posthospitalization SUD care transitions were the interdisciplinary addiction consult team (ACT), in-reach from partnering outpatient clinics, and bridge clinics.
