Gregory Bunt
MD, FASAM, FISAM
Gregory Bunt M.D. graduated medical school in 1983 from NYU School of Medicine, and completed his residency in Psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1987. He was among the first to complete the Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine (1989), and has since been on the NYU Medical School Faculty in the Division of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, currently as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with Special Added Qualifications in Addiction Psychiatry and a Fellow of the International Society of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Bunt is the Past President of the New York Society of Addiction Medicine and the Past President of the International Society of Addiction Medicine. He has been the Medical Director for Daytop Village now Samaritan Daytop Village for over 25 years. He has authored over 20 publications, and speaks nationally and internationally about addiction medicine and addiction psychiatry.
Stephen Taylor
MD, MPH, DFAPA, DFASAM
Pathway Healthcare
Stephen M. Taylor, MD, MPH, DFAPA, DFASAM is the Chief Medical Officer of Pathway Healthcare, a company that operates 13 outpatient mental health and addiction treatment offices across Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. Dr. Taylor is board-certified in psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, and addiction medicine. Dr. Taylor is in his 15th season as the Medical Director of the Player Assistance/Anti-Drug Program of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA).
Dr. Taylor is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (DFASAM). He is Vice Chair of ASAM’s Legislative Advocacy Committee and serves on ASAM’s Public Policy Committee. He is co-chair of ASAM’s Writing Subcommittee on Advancing Racial Justice, which drafted ASAM’s Public Policy Statement on Advancing Racial Justice in Addiction Medicine. He also chairs ASAM’s Delegation to the AMA House of Delegates and is a member of the ASAM Board of Directors.
Dr. Taylor is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) and serves on the Board of Directors of the Medical Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC). He also serves on the Drug Testing Advisory Board (DTAB) of the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and he serves on the Board of Directors of the Addiction Prevention Coalition, a non-profit community organization in Birmingham, AL.
An honors graduate of Harvard College, with a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health and a medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, Dr. Taylor completed “Triple Board” residency in pediatrics, psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, then completed a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine/Bellevue Hospital Center.
Katrina Mark
MD
University of Maryland School of Medicine
Dr. Katrina Mark is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is an practicing Obstetrician and Gynecologist who holds dual Board Certifications in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Addiction Medicine. Her research and clinical interests center around the intersection of reproductive health and substance use/abuse. She is the Medical Director of the University of Maryland Women's Health Center at Penn and the Director of the Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Outpatient Recovery and Treatment (SUPPORT) practice.

Sheryl Ryan, MD, FAAP, FASAM
Professor. Chief, Division of Adolescent Medicine
Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center
Dr. Ryan is Professor of Pediatrics, Chief of the Division of Adolescent Medicine and Director of Outpatient Adolescent Clinical Services at the Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center. She is a pediatrician who is board certified in both Adolescent Medicine and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Ryan completed her medical training at Yale University, her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and her Adolescent Medicine fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco. Dr. Ryan is also currently the Program Director for the Interdisciplinary Fellowship in Addiction Medicine at Penn State and also has a busy specialized clinical practice for adolescents and young adults.
Dr. Ryan has served as member and Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Committee on Substance Use and Prevention and in that capacity she was lead and primary author on several Position statements, Technical reports and Clinical Reports related to cannabis use in adolescents, and the effects of cannabis during pregnancy and breastfeeding on infants and children.
She has also served on the recent PA state-level legislative taskforce assessing the effect of parental substance use on child health and well-being and has testified to state legislatures and the Institute of Medicine regarding the long-term effects of prenatal exposure on infant and child health outcomes and the long-term effects of use among adolescents. She has given many invited lectures on this topic at regional, national and international professional meetings, and currently has an active clinical practice treating adolescents and young adults with substance use disorders.
Dr. Ryan also has a current Federal HRSA grant that focuses on developing strategies to increase the capacity of primary care and behavioral health care providers to treat individuals with substance use disorders

Joint Accreditation Statement
In support of improving patient care, the American Society of Addiction Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Physicians
The American Society of Addiction Medicine designates this enduring material for a maximum of 1.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Nurses
This activity awards 1.25 Nursing contact hours.
PAs
ASAM has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1.25 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 1.25 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Approval is valid until 05/06/2028. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
Pharmacists
This activity will offer 1.25 pharmacy contact hours (.125 CEUs). Pharmacists will be asked to provide identifying information (e-Profile ID and DOB in MMDD format) in order to receive credit and allow reporting to CPE Monitor. (UAN: JA0000141-0000-25-021-H01)
